The Beginning of Kibble Watches
Kibble Watches was born from founder James’ passion for horology. What started as a fascination with timepieces quickly turned into a mission to learn everything about the industry. While working in luxury retail, James built a loyal client base and began shaping the foundation of what would become Kibble Watches.
Gaining Expertise
To deepen his knowledge, James joined an auction house, where he handled thousands of watches—gaining hands-on experience and developing a sharp eye for detail. Though he briefly explored watchmaking, James realized his true strength lay in working directly with clients and curating exceptional watches.
A Full-Time Venture
The brand took its biggest step when James launched Kibble Watches full-time, opening the first office and website in Clerkenwell, London. This move allowed him to dedicate himself entirely to the business, offering more time for customers, events, and continued learning.
Growing Through Challenges
In 2020, despite global uncertainty, Kibble Watches thrived—thanks to a growing customer base and strong relationships. That year, Lia joined the business, and Kibble Watches truly became a family-run venture, ending the year with a successful pop-up on Savile Row.
A Home for Watch Enthusiasts
By 2021, the brand had established a dedicated showroom in Clerkenwell. As James and Lia became parents in 2022, the team expanded with a full-time photographer and admin support—allowing the business to grow while staying true to its personal, family-oriented roots.
International Expansion
In 2025, Kibble Watches took its next big step—opening a new office in Sacramento, California. This expansion marked the start of the brand’s international journey, bringing the same trusted service and passion for watches to clients across the globe.
